Data Deletion Instructions
How to stop Inscend's access to Meta (Facebook and Instagram ads) and the other apps you connect, and how to ask us to delete your personal information and the data we have stored from them.
Last updated October 2026
1. Disconnecting, revoking and deleting are different
Stopping Inscend's access and deleting what Inscend has stored are separate steps. Doing one does not do the other.
Disconnect the app in Inscend
In Inscend, go to Settings, then Integrations, and choose Disconnect on the app (for example Meta Ads). Only the business owner can do this. Inscend stops reading from the app and asks the service it uses to connect to that app to delete the stored access. If that service cannot be reached, Inscend keeps asking until the access is deleted. Information Inscend already saved from the app stays in your account until you ask us to delete it.
Revoke Inscend's access in Meta
In your Facebook settings, open Business integrations and remove Inscend. If you manage ads through a Meta business portfolio, you can also remove Inscend from the portfolio's connected apps. Meta then stops honouring Inscend's access. You can do this at any time, even if you no longer use Inscend. Revoking does not delete what Inscend already saved; ask us for that as described below.
Other apps work the same way: removing Inscend in that app's own settings (for Google, the third-party access page of your Google Account) stops Inscend's access there, and does not delete what Inscend already saved.
Delete the data Inscend stored
Deleting stored data is done by the Inscend team when you ask. There is no delete button in the app for it, and it does not happen automatically when you disconnect or revoke access.
2. How to request deletion
Email info@inscend.io with the subject "Data deletion request". This inbox is monitored by the Inscend team. Please include:
- The name of your business in Inscend
- The email address you sign in to Inscend with
- What you want deleted: the data Inscend received from one app (for example, Meta or Google), or all data for your business
- Whether you also want your Inscend sign-in account deleted
We reply within 3 business days to confirm we have your request. To protect your business, we act on a request about a business only when it comes from the business owner, so we may ask you to confirm it from the email address on the account. We complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming the request, and email you when it is done.
If you were invited to a business as a team member, you can ask us to delete your own sign-in account and personal information. The business's data stays with its owner.
3. What is deleted
Data received from Meta and other apps
- The record of your Meta Ads connection: the ad account ID you chose, the connection's status, and which permissions Meta granted
- Inscend's stored access to your Meta account, if it has not already been deleted by disconnecting
- The ad spend items Inscend created from Meta's figures and their history: campaign, ad set and ad IDs and names, campaign status, spend, impressions, clicks, frequency and click-through, purchases and their value, campaigns' daily budgets, weekly spend totals, and the ad account's currency and time zone
- If the owner set one, the daily spending limit for Meta Ads (amount, currency, who set it and when) and the record of each change Inscend made: the campaign, ad set or ad, the values before and after, who approved it, Meta's answer without its trace ids, and what Meta reported afterwards
- For any other app you connected (for example Shopify, Google or Omnisend): the record of that connection, Inscend's stored access to it, and the information and work items Inscend created from what it read there
All data for your business
If you ask for all of your business's data to be deleted, we first remove Inscend's access to every connected app, then delete everything held for the business: products, sales, customers, imported records, work items and their history, goals, settings, connections and billing records held by Inscend.
Your sign-in account
Your Inscend sign-in (name, email and password) is deleted too if you ask for it.
4. What is kept, and why
- Our emails with you about the request, as a record that it was made and carried out.
- Copies that remain in our database backups, which expire within 35 days. Backups are used only to recover the service.
- Anything we are required to keep by law. If that applies to your request, we will tell you what is kept and why.
- Records held by others: payment providers such as Stripe or Shopify keep their own payment records under their own policies, Meta keeps your ad accounts and campaigns, and each other app keeps what is in your account there. Deleting data from Inscend does not delete or change anything in your Meta accounts or in your other connected apps.
